Jazz Finland 100 anniversary concert for the whole family! Mäkynen/Mannila/Koivistoinen/Antila/Mäensivu

Event date 13.11.2026 Time 18:00 The Finnish Jazz Federation has, in honor of the Jazz Finland 100 anniversary year, assembled a supergroup together with drummer and bandleader Teppo Mäkynen for an anniversary tour, performing new arrangements of gems from Finnish jazz music. Featuring musicians from different generations, the group draws on sounds and rhythms from electronic music, R&B, and rap in its expression, bringing the history of Finnish jazz into the present day. At the heart of the concert is the joy of making and experiencing music, powered by the band's energetic performance. Bandleader Teppo Mäkynen is one of the most respected jazz musicians in Finland. Mäkynen is known for his open-minded and visionary ability to move between different musical styles, and his music has reached a wide new jazz audience. The lineup also includes a living legend of Finnish jazz, saxophonist Eero Koivistoinen, bassist Kaisa Mäensivu, who has built an impressive international career, and rising stars: singer-keyboardist Maja Mannila and vibraphonist Mikko Antila. The concert has no age limit, so come and enjoy jazz with the whole family!
